Eurostars Monte Tauro

We enjoyed our stay here. Great location with everything you need to see in walking distance from the hotel. The views from the hotel are beautiful as it is located on a cliff face. This means a steep walk to the street….but the views are worth it. The rooms were clean and spacious. The shower was good and the bed was very comfortable. The reason for my 5 stars though…are the staff. They helped with restaurant suggestions, activities and arranged taxis for us when ended….happily. I dont speak Italian and I had an issue with a package that was to arrive in a certain timeframe and didn’t. The staff were very helpful in locating the package and helping to have it delivered before I left the country. Yes the hotel is a little dated…but…it has many offsetting positive factors. And so we were happy spending our time in Taormina there. Thank you 😌

This hotel has a lot of potential but really needs to focus on making the upgrades necessary for it to be 4 stars. The WiFi does not work except on the top floor. The breakfast, although they work very hard, is extremely understaffed where things were empty and we were waiting around but gave up. The key which they expect you take with you is literally a 5 pound dumbbell. For a 4 star place, I would also expect basic amenities like conditioner to be available in the showers. The hotel has potential but is lacking in key areas that would truly make it a 4 star hotel.
